Yah atm he's a bit strong on defense and in goal, but he's got a giant cooldown to make up for that. One of his biggest strengths over other heroes, though, is his versatility. You can play him well in every role except mobility, and, assuming you're playing pubs, you don't often need mobility. He'll be nerfed a bit in the next version.
With the gameplay changes happening in the upcoming version he doesn't need his ridiculous distance to catch the ball. Tbh as gk that's screwed me often, too, so it's not a huge nerf anyways.
